These thought of General Thomas have slowly come to the same conclusion through a constant three year study of the Civil War.

If I find your site to be what it looks like I plan to be a contributor.

Please let me know how, but contributions will come only if I am convinced that this great man is getting justice from you...it sure looks like it though

Excellent and very informative site on a very important figure in the history of this great nation. I recently became aware that Gen Thomas may have been an ancestor of mine. I intend to investigate to the fullest of my abilities. I work approx. 3 blocks from the statue of Gen. Thomas at Thomas Circle in downtown Washington, DC and took some pictures to be found here: http://walksofmylife.blogspot.com

I have an old copy of the 1882 printing of the Life of Major General George H. Thomas published in New York by Charles Scribner's and Sons, and have enjoyed reading it. As a Canadian with an interest in American history, I found the maps in the book very interesting. As my ancestors sold Canadian horses to the Union Army, I sometimes wonder how the book found its way into our old family library. Thankyou.

Like the web site. General Thomas is my Great, Great Uncle. I just had an uncle die here in Ohio who bore a very strong resemblance to Gen. Thomas. My mother is a Thomas. Thanks

Thumbs up on an excellent site. I've already recommended it to several friends. One note on the trivia concerning Johnny Clem the "Drummer Boy of Shiloh"; Johnny enlisted as a musician in the 22nd Michigan in August of 1862, four months AFTER the Battle of Shiloh. The little stinker!
